Honoring the Past. Building the Future. One Gathering at a Time.
Bridge House — Our Story
As the early miners on this land surely sensed the moment their pick first struck the ground, that there was “gold in these hills”, that same certainty washed over me the first time I drove through the gates of Rancho Murieta. I still vividly remember walking around Lake Chesbro that day and feeling a profoundly deep connection to this land. I instinctively knew there was something special about this community and more importantly I knew I had just found home.
What I couldn’t have known that day was how profoundly the people in this community would come to shape my life. Their welcoming warmth, deep compassion, and overwhelming generosity would eventually eclipse even the natural beauty that first captured my heart. And as the years unfolded, a quiet nudging began inside of me—a longing to create a true gathering place to celebrate the richness and abundance of Rancho Murieta life.
A space that didn’t just serve coffee, food or wine, but more importantly served connection. A place that felt like a warm hug from the moment you stepped inside… comforting, welcoming, and familiar all at once. So when the opportunity presented itself, I knew exactly what this space could become. We redesigned every inch with intention, imagining neighbors reconnecting, friendships forming, stories being shared, memories being made and community being strengthened—one gathering at a time.
Bridge House was designed for community connection. Our name honoring the very first home and gathering place ever built here. Once located near the iconic Yellow Bridge over the Cosumnes River—Bridge House was a place where a story began on a land where roots run deep. For me, the name symbolizes what our space now represents: a bridge between past and future; the stories that shaped our community in the beginning and the new ones we’re creating together.
Bridge House is, in many ways, my gift back to Rancho Murieta for everything it has given me. My hope and prayer is that it serves as a daily reminder of just how special our community truly is… so that we cherish it, protect it, and preserve its heart for generations to come. There is still "gold in these hills"—and it’s found in the people who call this place home.
Welcome to Bridge House.
Welcome home.
We’re so glad you’re here...
